    The MCL-NSOM is a fully operational near-field scanning optical microscope manufactured on Mad City Labs’ versatile RM21™ inverted optical microscope. This instrument is designed to allow users to convert between NSOM, SPM, and fluorescence optical microscopy techniques.

  2. XYZ Nanopositioning System: Nano-LPMW

    The Nano-LPMW is a unique XYZ axis nanopositioning system designed to hold multiwall plates, slides, dishes, and environmental chambers. This low profile positioner has an extra-large center aperture with a 200 micron range of motion on all three axes. It is easily integrated into existing inverted optical microscopes and is compatible with numerous microscope stages.

    Mad City Labs offers a broad range of custom solutions able to meet specialized requirements ranging from simple modifications of existing designs to completely custom projects. Customers can move easily from project concept to reality with in-house research scientists’ extensive knowledge of UHV instrumentation, optical spectroscopy, and nanotechnology. Mad City labs also develops custom firmware and dll’s to speed up final product development by incorporating special motion profiles into a OEM Nano-Drive® controller.

  4. MicroMirror TIRF System

    Mad City Labs' MicroMirror TIRF system is a new single molecule imaging instrument composed with high precision, high stability nanopositioning and microscopy technologies. It is designed for studying the ordered assembly and function of multi-component biomolecular machines.

  5. High-Speed Piezo-Z Optical-Axis Objective Positioner/Scanner For Microscopy And Metrology

    PI (Physik Instrumente) offers the P-725 high-speed Piezo-Z optical-axis objective positioners designed to deliver higher performance and lower costs for microscopy, metrology, 3D imaging, screening, autofocus systems, surface analysis, and wafer inspection applications. The systems feature travel ranges up to 460 µm, and are composed of a PIFOC® high performance fast piezo focus devices, a compact digital servo controller, a comprehensive software package, and a QuickLock adapter for easy attachment.

  6. PIMag® Precision Linear Stage: V-551

    The V-551 is a PIMag® Precision Linear Stage with a travel range up to 230mm and a velocity up to 0.5 m/s. The stage employs an ironless magnetic drive for high velocity & acceleration, has a high position resolution by sine-commuted control, and includes a modularly configurable push/pull force.

  7. Electromagnetic Positioning System: PIMag® 6D

    The PIMag® 6D is an electromagnetic positioning system with a passive platform levitating on a magnetic field generated by only six planer coils in the stator, with the magnetic field being actively controlled using a 6D sensor. Due to the absence of any mechanical contact in the drivetrain or the guides, there is no friction or wear to contaminate the workspace.
