Standard Camera Detectors For Visible/NIR MTF Measurement: Matrix Series Datasheet
8/15/2019
The Matrix series comprises digital camera detectors designed specifically for real-time MTF measurements in the visible and near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths. These cameras are available in three models with variations in sensor size and pixel resolutions. They can be used in a variety of applications such as routine production testing, or research and development work.

SWIR MTF Testing Analyzers Datasheet
8/30/2017
Image Science's two MTF analyzers are designed for testing in the 1-3 micron region. They can be used as additions to an existing MTF measurement station, or can be delivered as a complete solution. The first unit is a real-time device typically outfitted with an InGaAs camera that covers the 0.9 to 1.7 micron range. The second unit is a scanning system covering the 1.0 to 3.2 micron range. It uses a lead sulphide detector and sampling aperture.

Theory And Measurement Of The Modulation Transfer Function (MTF)
2/1/2017
MTF is a quantitative and objective measure of the quality of an image formed by a lens or and electro-optical system. This measurement is appropriate for lenses of all qualities and can be calculated from lens design data, which enables theoretical and actual performances to be compared.

Lens Manufacturers: Do You Know The Best Test For Lens Performance?
2/1/2017
A high-quality lens begins with a good design, tolerant to small manufacturing errors. The manufacturing process must be tightly controlled, from individual lens elements to final assembly. But, since small errors in manufacturing can result in serious loss of performance, end-of-line testing is necessary.

Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) Systems
12/4/2012
Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) Systems help system designers predict the actual image-forming capability of an optical system. These systems compensate for image degradation caused by inevitable aberrations and diffraction phenomena.
