Light sheet microscopy, first discovered by Richard Zsigmondy and Henry Siedentopf in 1903, is a technique that images a mostly large sample with short time intervals under healthier conditions over a longer period of time than conventional types of microscopy. This white paper introduces the technology in brief, walks through sample preparation for the technique, and describes its advantages and drawbacks.
