THz Detector: THZ12D-3S-VP-D0

THZ-D terahertz detectors provide broadband, room-temperature measurements from 0.1–30 THz, with flat spectral response, large apertures, high power handling, and calibration at 10.6 µm.
The THZ-D series of terahertz detectors offers versatile, high-performance solutions for measuring THz radiation across a wide frequency range. Designed for relative measurements from 0.1 to 30 THz, these detectors operate at room temperature and provide broadband sensitivity, making them easier to use and more cost-effective than traditional Golay cells. The THZ-D detectors feature a flat spectral response, ensuring precise measurements across their entire wavelength range.
High-power handling is a standout feature of this series, with the THZ12D model capable of measuring up to 3 W of continuous power—the highest capacity in the THZ product range. Additionally, the detectors are available with large apertures ranging from 9 mm to 12 mm, accommodating diverse beam sizes and improving alignment flexibility.
Each THZ-D detector is calibrated at 10.6 µm and includes wavelength correction data spanning from 10.6 to 440 µm, allowing accurate relative measurements outside the calibration wavelength. This combination of broadband operation, high power tolerance, and large apertures makes the THZ-D series ideal for applications in research, industrial testing, and laboratory environments where precise THz power measurements are required. The detectors’ reliability and ease of integration with oscilloscopes or lock-in amplifiers ensure efficient, accurate experimentation and measurement in a variety of terahertz applications.
