SWIR Camera With Superior Situational Awareness

Raf Vandermissen with Xenics introduced us to the Rufus-640- an analog SWIR camera ideal for active and passive night vision, UAV applications, homeland security, and SAR (search and rescue). The camera provides 640 x 512 pixel resolution, and its 20 µm pixel pitch allows for the use of lower cost VIS and SWIR lenses without sacrificing image quality. Its most notable feature, however, is its embedded proprietary algorithms that result in superior situational awareness in several types of lighting conditions.
