Stocker & Yale Announces the Creation of Telecom Business Group

Solidifying its bid for a share of the fiber optic component market, Stocker & Yale Inc. (Salem, NH) has created a Telecom Business Group designed to focus on the development and manufacture of specialty telecom fiber, phase masks, and other fiber optic component products. The announcement comes as little surprise—in January, the company began billing itself as a telecom product supplier as well as illumination product manufacturer. Fiber manufacturing expansions and collaborations have demonstrated substance behind the words (see Stocker & Yale Purchases Telecom Fiber Optic Drawing Tower; Stocker & Yale to Expand Fiber Optic Manufacturing Operation; Stocker & Yale Inks Deal With INO For Photosensitive Fibers).

The Telecom Business Group will reside in two locations: St-Laurent, Quebec and Salem NH. President and CTO Alain Beauregard will head up the St.Laurent facility, which will house R&D and sales management for phase masks and other telecom component products. Under the leadership of George Fryburg, the Salem facility will house the business development, marketing, manufacturing, and the overall development of specialty telecom fiber.
