Stocker & Yale to Expand Fiber Optic Manufacturing Operation

Illumination product manufacturer N/A Inc. (Salem, NH) has purchased fiber optic glass production assets from the Schott-Fostec LLC Marlborough, MA facility for an undisclosed sum. The purchase of this additional production equipment will increase Stocker & Yale's fiber optic production capacity by 400%. The equipment will also enhance the company's R&D and prototyping capabilities.

According to senior vice president and general manager George Fryburg, the company's fiber optic business has increased 95% over the past year, a trend that he expects to continue. "We expect the bulk of the equipment to be installed, tested, and operational by the end of Q1/2000," says Fryburg.
