SCHOTT Lighting and Imaging offers a series of fiber optic faceplates designed for high-resolution, “zero thickness” image transfer applications such as CCD and CMOS coupling, LCD and OLED displays, image intensification, remote viewing, field flattening, and X-ray imaging.
There are many advantages to using SCHOTT faceplates. These components can act as a physical layer for coatings in X-ray applications, protecting detectors from X-ray radiation and enhances SNR in CMOS detectors. They also couple the scintillating screen to the photosensitive device to deliver high resolution images at improved contrast. The faceplates are manufactured in round or rectangular shapes and in various sizes up to 320 x 320 mm to meet custom requirements. Typical element sizes range from as small as 4 µm to 25 µm or larger.
