SCHOTT® Fiber Optic Faceplates are designed for high-resolution, “zero thickness” image transfer applications, such as CCD and CMOS coupling, LCD and OLED displays, image intensification, remote viewing, field flattening, and x-ray imaging. These components can act as a physical layer for coatings in X-ray applications, protecting detectors from X-ray radiation and enhances SNR in CMOS detectors. They also couple the scintillating screen to the photosensitive device to deliver high resolution images at improved contrast.
