This photodiode features a 100mm2 active area and outstanding UV response. It’s particularly suited for applications requiring extreme stability for detecting vacuum ultraviolet and extreme ultraviolet photons.

Opto Diode’s UVG100 photodiode is shipped with a temporary protective cover plate. Its responsitivity under testing conditions at 254 nm is a 0.08 (typ) minimum, and a 0.13 A/W maximum. Shunt resistance at ± 10 mV is a minimum of 20 MOhms; the reverse breakdown voltage is typically 10 Volts; the capacitance is typically 10 nanofarads (nF) with a maximum of 20 nF. After being exposed to megajoules/cm2, it showed less than 2% responsivity loss.

The photodiode can deliver 100% internal quantum efficiency and exhibitis advanced performance in high-particle, flux environments due to its extremely high radiation hardness. Its oxynitride front window helps to prevent the degradation in performance that typically occurs in high humidity and other harsh environmental conditions.
