MMP-UHV50
The MMP-UHV50 is an ultra-high vacuum (UHV) compatible micropositioning system designed for high-precision positioning in demanding environments.
Constructed from unanodized aluminum and featuring vacuum-compatible components such as Kapton wire, PEEK electrical connectors, and NyeTorr 6300 lubricant, the MMP-UHV50 is engineered to eliminate sources of virtual leaks. The stage is bakeable to 100°C and includes overheat protection during operation.
With a travel range of 50 mm, a minimum step size of 190 nm, and a maximum speed of 2 mm/sec, the MMP-UHV50 delivers precision and efficiency. It supports a vertical payload of up to 2 kg and features limit switches, overheat protection, and a Zero Power function when idle, enhancing stability and minimizing heat generation. High native repeatability and accuracy make it an excellent choice for UHV applications requiring reliable micropositioning. The stage can be mounted horizontally or vertically and can be combined to form two-axis positioners.
The system includes the Micro-Drive®UHV controller, which connects to a PC via USB and is compatible with the supplied LabVIEW-based software or user-written programs using the included DLL (e.g., C++, Python). The controller supports complex motion profiles and employs advanced control parameters such as automatic acceleration and deceleration to ensure high stability and accuracy. Optional wireless gamepad control adds convenience for users.
With its robust design, precision features, and versatile control options, the MMP-UHV50 is ideal for applications demanding high-performance micropositioning in ultra-high vacuum environments.
