Inside Berkeley Lab: Advancing Semiconductor And Materials Research Through Beamline Innovation

Opto Diode Corp. An ITW Company., recently had the opportunity to tour Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and see firsthand how advanced beamline testing is helping push the boundaries of science and semiconductor technology.

A special thank you to Eric Gullikson for hosting the visit and sharing insights into the incredible work being done at Berkeley Lab. Our team, including Jezdan Gomez, Stewart Miller, and Sujeet Sudhir, had the privilege of seeing how these facilities support cutting edge research and precision measurement.

From synchrotron radiation experiments to advanced metrology systems, it was fascinating to see how these beamlines enable the research shaping the future of lithography, materials science, and next-generation devices.

Experiences like this highlight the importance of collaboration between national laboratories, researchers, and industry partners working together to advance technology.
