In this instance, the optical coatings were designed to carefully filter out unwanted stray light from varying sources in the aircraft’s cockpit. The coatings were designed according to wavelength and angle of viewing specifications. The result is a highly readable LED display, customized by UK-based PRP Optoelectronics.
