Thin Film Layers for Laser Optics

LASER COMPONENTS has recently installed a coater for PIAD coatings (plasma ion-assisted deposition). Using an advanced plasma source (APS), very homogeneous and compact layers up to a diameter of 390 mm can be created. The coatings are manufactured fully automated; thanks to a monitoring system the layer thickness is permanently controlled during the entire process – therefore complex and customized coatings with a layer thickness  precision of < 0.5 nm can be achieved for a wavelength range from 248 nm to 3000 nm.
