Utilizing Inkjet Coating Technology For Optics And Injection Molded Parts

inkjet coating technology

Carclo Technical Plastics supplies optical parts to many OEMs in a variety of vertical markets. The optics in many cases are exposed to demanding service environments that can damage the optical quality of the product.  In a recent case, one of our customers came to us looking for an anti-scratch coating without negatively impacting their products’ optical properties. They also wanted a cost effective single-sided coating. This particular customer knew that we have the proven capability to provide unique coatings to protect the product in use and extend its service life. One of the unique coating methods we used in this particular case was our selective Inkjet Coating process, in which only the area to be protected is coated without the expense of a masking process.
