TRIOPTICS Expands Its U.S. Business

TRIOPTICS GmbH, a leading manufacturer of optical test equipment based in Wedel, Germany, strengthens its market presence in the USA. To further increase its market share and establish a stronger basis for future growth, TRIOPTICS acquired Wells Research Inc., a renowned manufacturer of MTF and other optical test equipment. The acquisition of Wells Research located in Lincoln, Massachusetts, contributes to the extensive service for TRIOPTICS’s customers in the USA.

Wells Research continues operating as a stand-alone company, but will closely co-operate with TRIOPTICS. A joint development for application oriented optical test equipment will be started soon. Furthermore, Wells Research products will now be distributed by TRIOPTICS subsidiaries and partners in Europe and Asia.

“Wells Research has broad experience in the photonics market and their products supplement the TRIOPTICS product portfolio,” says Eugen Dumitrescu, Managing Director of TRIOPTICS.

Wells Research´s founder and president, Ben Wells, will continue in this position, ensuring close cooperation between the companies and the transition for his customers.
