New IK-WD14A is equipped with 1080p resolution and edge-to-edge SR IR LEDs to fulfill demands of professional market

Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., has aggressively positioned itself for leadership in the IP network video surveillance market with its introduction of the IK-WD14A dome camera, the company's first such model to feature full HD 1080p resolution for securing areas where the sharpest video detail is required, such as the identifying of facial features or license plates. The camera also offers built-in SR IR LEDs to assist image capture in near complete darkness, along with a wide dynamic range for challenging back lighting environments.

"High-definition is the most prominent trend in the IP camera space," explained Sergio Collazo, Director of Sales and Marketing for Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video. "The IK-WD14A is a natural extension of Toshiba's IT culture and its strong history of innovation in consumer high-definition video."

Designed to optimize image quality and provide maximum network efficiency, the IK-WD14A offers simultaneous H.264/MPEG4/JPEG streaming for automatic bandwidth prioritization, enabling seamless full frame (1920 x 1080) video at up to 30 frames-per-second for both live viewing and recording. Imaging performance is further enhanced by the camera's one-touch 3x optical zoom, remote focus, and broad angle pan and tilt.

Because it is ONVIF compliant the IK-WD14A allows for easy integration into existing network infrastructures, and assures future-proof systems, as well as overall reduced cost of ownership.

Motion detection, day/night imaging and anti-camera tampering are highlights of its video intelligence. For more information, visit www.toshibasecurity.com.
