White LEDs have become a rising star for both conventional illumination and machine vision lighting. There are several methods to create white light with LEDs, but the most popular and cost effective technique at this time, is the "blue LED plus yellow phosphor" approach. It is the use of the phosphor that causes the white LED to mimic the fluorescent lamp.
