Telops Launches A New Line Of Nondestructive Testing Solutions

Quebec City - Quebec-based infrared camera manufacturer TELOPS adds another string to its bow with a new line of active thermography solutions. Combining its powerful – and astoundingly fast – IR cameras with flash or halogen lamps and a user-friendly post-processing software, Telops now offers complete non-contact, non-destructive testing systems to industrials seeking to ensure the quality and homogeneity of their materials.

Thanks to the high frame rates of their cameras, the Telops TESTD systems can detect damage from corrosion, delamination, decay, voids, inclusions and other irregularities even from very thin or from highly conductive materials, which are notoriously hard to investigate.

Key benefits of the TESTD systems are:

ULTRAHIGH FRAME RATE

Telops cameras can produce thermal images at rates of up to 3 000 fps, depending on the model. Subwindows can even be acquired at rates higher than 100 000 fps. Such fast frame rates allow the inspection of both thin and highly diffusive materials.

HIGH SENSITIVITY

Temperature differences as small as 18 mK can be detected, allowing the detection of challenging targets, such as heat dissipation in electronic circuits. Differences as small as 200 µK can be detected via lock-in type measurements.

ADVANCED CALIBRATION

Unique proprietary real-time processing of infrared images such as NUC, radiometric temperature, automated exposure control (AEC) and enhanced high-dynamic-range imaging (EHDRI) guarantee ease of use and operation flexibility as well as accurate measurements over the entire camera’s operation range. Automatic exposure control (AEC) notably ensures correct sample exposure throughout the illumination process.

POWERFUL SOFTWARE

Straightforward, powerful post-processing software provides results in a fast and reliable way. The software offers various triggering methods that are both elaborate and repeatable, as well as an integrated keystone effect correction.

“These new systems will enable Telops to stay at the forefront of the infrared camera market by providing unique solutions for industrials to go even further in their research and quality control investigations“, says Éric Guyot, product line manager at Telops.
