Telops, leader in the field of high performance infrared cameras and hyperspectral imaging systems for the Defense and Security, Environmental, Oil and Gas, and Industrial markets, is pleased to announce that is has been awarded a contract for an airborne Hyper-Cam by the Public Research Center - Gabriel Lippmann (CRP-GL). The contract includes the initial delivery and further customization of a Hyper-Cam, Telops' unique FTIR hyperspectral imaging system, along with an Airborne Platform which allows the Hyper-Cam to be mounted in an airplane for advanced infrared hyperspectral mapping. This substantial agreement with CRP-GL reinforces Telops' position as a leading supplier in the hyperspectral imaging systems market.

The primary function of the Hyper-Cam airborne platform is to compensate for the aircraft displacement and its angular pitch, roll and yaw, which will allow the instrument to be used for hyperspectral mapping of the ground or atmosphere and the detection and identification of any substance that has a known infrared spectrum.

The Hyper-Cam and its airborne platform will be used by CRP-GL to improve their capabilities in the fields of sustainable management of the environment.

"We are highly privileged to collaborate with such a prestigious institution. Our unique imaging technology and airborne capabilities will support the Public Research Centre's efforts to bring applied research, technology development and education to new heights." says Paul Chabot, VP Sales and Marketing at Telops.

"The novel Hyper-Cam by Telops together with its airborne platform will allow us to become a world leading knowledge centre in thermal remote sensing with key applications in natural resource management." states Dr. Lucien Hoffmann, Scientific Director of the Department 'Environment and agro-biotechnologies' at CRP-GL.
