The shot noise limited performance of the T2000 ensures high attainable carrier to noise ratio in an AM-VSB CATV transmission system. Up to 100 mW of optical output power allows transmitter designs capable of operation over longer distances and wider networks. The T2000 is based on highly reliable, telecommunications qualified, InGaAs technology, and a solid state laser platform.
