Syndiant Receives Commercial Order For Microdisplays Used In Pico Projectors

Syndiant, enabling consumers to enjoy a large screen experience in handheld electronics, received its first commercial order for the SYL2010, an SVGA (800x600 pixels) and WVGA (854x480 pixels) microdisplay for pico projectors. The initial purchase order, for tens of thousands of units, was placed by Shanghai Sanxin Technology Development Co., Ltd (SSTDC) for use in the world's first laser pico projector to ship in high volume.
Syndiant's patented VueG8 all-digital smart panel technology will be used in SSTDC's focus-free Laseno laser pico projector. The SMP 101 is the first of a Laseno family of laser pico projectors from SSTDC to use Syndiant's technology and will be available in China this month. With a brightness of over 20 lumens output, the SMP 101 supports a wide variety of uses such as viewing presentations, spreadsheets, documents and email by USB connection.
"Syndiant's technology enables our world leading laser projectors to provide a unique combination of resolution, small size and superior color quality with the brightest image of any pico projector yet announced. The decision to select Syndiant was made after thorough examination of potential technology partners," said Ying Li Fu, chairman of SSTDC. "We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership."
"We are very pleased to be working with SSTDC. With this leadership product, they are set to become an important player in China and other regions," said Mark Harward, CEO of Syndiant. "The SYL2010 was the first in our family of pico projector products. We recently introduced four new products for the pico projector market and we are executing on our roadmap to build higher resolution devices. This volume purchase order from SSTDC represents another significant milestone in our progress."
