Modeled on a block camera concept to enable rapid camera system development, the NPV700M series of SWIR/NIR/Visible camera cores feature NoblePeak’s revolutionary germanium-enhanced CMOS image sensor technology TriWave®. TriWave® detects visible, near infrared (NIR) and short wave infrared (SWIR) wavelengths, i.e. 400nm to 1600nm.
In passive night vision applications, the TriWave® NPV700M-02A SWIR/NIR/Visible core enables true 24/7 video surveillance by sensing the “Night Glow” energy emitted by the Earth’s atmosphere. TriWave’s 10µm pixel size and 640 x 480 resolution delivers excellent long range detection and identification on moonless nights.
Imaging with active SWIR illumination with the TriWave® NPV700M-02B provides critical information, undetectable with NIR camera systems. Applications such as Solar Panel and Semiconductor Wafer Inspection, Medical, Machine Vision and Biometrics imaging systems can achieve significant performance and cost benefits.
