SWIR Cameras For OCT

full_range_sd_oct_3d_image

Discover SWIR line-scan cameras optimized for OCT, delivering deeper tissue penetration, high-speed imaging, and exceptional resolution for advanced retinal and biomedical diagnostics.

Sensors Unlimited SWIR cameras are engineered for optical coherence tomography (OCT), a low‑coherence interferometric imaging technique widely used for high‑resolution retinal diagnostics. OCT performance is enhanced at SWIR wavelengths such as 1.04 and 1.31 μm, where reduced Rayleigh scattering enables greater penetration depth and improved signal retrieval in highly scattering biological tissues compared with visible or NIR illumination.

Our 2048L line‑scan camera incorporates a 2048‑pixel InGaAs photodiode array with a Base Camera Link® interface and supports programmable line rates from 100 to over 76,000 lines per second. It delivers high spatial resolution, strong thermal and temporal stability, and excellent photometric uniformity across the 0.98–1.65 μm SWIR spectral band.

The 2048R line‑scan camera increases spectral‑domain OCT acquisition throughput, achieving speeds above 147,000 lines per second using a Medium Camera Link® interface. Its compact design incorporates a 2048‑pixel InGaAs photodiode array with 10‑μm pitch and a 210‑μm aperture height, providing high spectral fidelity and optimized quantum efficiency across the 0.98–1.65 μm range for deep‑tissue scattering conditions. The system supports superior measurement repeatability and long operational life, enabling advanced biomedical applications including blood‑flow analysis and volumetric tissue imaging.
