StockerYale Introduces Quartz Fiber Optic Ringlights And Components

StockerYale, Inc., a leading independent provider of phase masks, specialty optical fiber, advanced optical technologies, and specialized illumination products, presents its quartz polymer clad silica (PCS) fiber optic ringlights. Available in many annular sizes, StockerYale's quartz PCS fiber ringlights are ideal for UV curing of adhesives, UV sensors, chemical analysis, and for crack detection using UV-activated dye penetrates.

StockerYale's quartz PCS fiber offer a hard coat cladding. Unlike traditional soft coat clad fibers, quartz PCS fibers have a larger exit angle and better bend radius to transmit light more efficiently and reach tight areas with UV light. Quartz PCS fibers also allow 10% more illumination output than glass fibers across the visible range, transmit whiter illumination over extended distances, and provide excellent transmission of UV energy.

The quartz fiber optic ringlights from StockerYale provide 360ยบ of uniform illumination. Assembled in a compact, black, anodized aluminum housing, the ringlights have a streamlined design and are manufactured with either a PVC monocoil or PVC covered metal hose sheathing with stainless steel terminations. Other quartz fiber optic components are available, including light guides and line arrays. StockerYale can also custom design a quartz fiber optic component to meet your exact specification.
