Stocker & Yale Sells Military Compass Business and Michigan Property

Salem, NH-based N/A has sold its military compass business to Cammenga Associates Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The asset sale, including machinery and inventory, ends the company's long-standing manufacturing of compasses for the U.S. Government and other civilian outlets. Proceeds of the sale will be used for the further development of new lighting products.

Separately, the company recently completed the sale of its 25,800-sq.-ft. facility in Fraser, MI. Stilson Corp., a Stocker & Yale division that formerly occupied the property, will continue operations in a newly leased factory in Roseville, MI. The $1.35 million sale of the property will reduce Stilson's overall operating costs and increase the available working capital for the continued growth of the company's illumination solutions business.
