Spectra-Physics Debuts World's First 2 W Raman Fiber Amplifier Pump Source with Dual Wavelength Output
The DRM2000C consists of a fiber laser pumped by three 915 nm laser diodes. Cascaded Raman cavities shift the fiber laser output to the final two wavelengths, which are delivered through an SMF-28 optical fiber.
The DRM2000C has been designed from the ground up to deliver high power and long lifetime. Fiber pigtailed pump diode, and laser and Raman cavities form a single, monolithic assembly. This use of entirely fusion spliced, fused silica fiber components ensures reliable and thermally insensitive connections. The pump sources themselves are proven, industry standard, 14-pin butterfly, hermetically packaged laser diodes, manufactured by Spectra-Physics.
