The microcontroller also adds a digital filter for mode lock control and a user-resettable mode lock counter to track loss-of-lock events.

A RISC-based microcontroller designed for the Teletrac stabilized helium neon single-frequency lasers now incorporates a to enhance reliability. The microcontroller features a nonvolatile elapsed hour meter, power-on cycle counter, and a built-in relative optical output power meter. For fail-safe applications, a watchdog circuit prevents thermal runaways.

The microcontroller also adds a digital filter for mode lock control and a user-resettable mode lock counter to track loss-of-lock events. It features analog test points for mode level and servo drive with 0 to 10 V DC range.

With rear panel controls, indicators and connectors indistinguishable from previous models, the updated microcontroller is backward compatible with previous Teletrac HeNe lasers. Digital settings replace potentiometers on the older design, while comprehensive diagnostics assure correct operation. An RS-232 serial interface provides compatibility with any Windows-based PC.
