According to the newest forecast from the World Energy Council global electricity needs will double in the next 40 years. At the same time, prices for dwindling petroleum and natural gas resources are increasing. These factors will increase the demand for low cost Photovoltaic (PV) arrays. Manufacturers are already seeking ways to lower their processing costs, and lasers are a major solution.
