STORM is a tri-channel scanner for detection of marine pollution.

The purpose of 3 channels:

  • IR image:
    • temperature difference for:
    • Spill thickness
    • Night and day detection
  • UV image:
    • Strong oil refection for:
    • Oil spill extend measurement
    • Good visibility at day time
  • VISIBLE image (3 colours):
    • Detection of dispersed and immersed balls
    • Applicable to other pollutants
  • Image Overlapping:
    • results in sharper image
    • enables auto detection
