A full line of sapphire lenses that are designed for use in near IR laser systems such as Erbium and Holmium medical lasers, and in harsh environments is now available. The lenses are available in plano convex and plano concave configurations in sizes from ½" to 2" dia. They feature Moh 9 surface hardness, and are scratch-resistant, impervious to water, common acids and alkalis, and are ideal for use in near IR medical laser systems.
Providing >98% transmission with AR coatings on both sides @ 2.94 µm and 2.1µm, the lenses have surface finishes to 10-5 scratch-dig, surface figures to 1/8 wave, and 10 mm to 100 mm focal lengths @ 633 nm.
