Sabeus Demonstrates Low Phase Noise AG-1 Laser At Photonics West Show

Calabasas, CA — Sabeus, Inc. announced the first public demonstration of its recently launched AG-1 distributed feedback (DFB) tunable laser at the Photonics West Conference (booth # 6035), which runs from Jan. 20-25 in San Jose, CA.

The AG-1 laser has 100-times more signal precision than standard DFB lasers, making it well suited for applications that need both durability and precision such as seismic surveying for oil & gas or military applications, high-precision optical test systems or high-bandwidth fiber-optic communications systems.

The AG-1 is the first Sabeus product to implement the company's patent-pending Multi Variable Control System (MVCS) for dynamic signal feedback, which delivers an effective linewidth of 10-400 kHz and short-term frequency stability of ± 5 MHz for an improvement of approximately two orders of magnitude over today's state-of-the-art semiconductor lasers.
