Remote-Head, 3-Chip HD CMOS Camera: IK-HD3H

Source: Toshiba Imaging Systems Division

The IK-HD3H ultra-compact remote-head camera utilizes a 2.1 MP 1/3” HD CMOS sensor to achieve 1920 x 1080 image resolution for applications involving surgical microscopy, specialty broadcasting, diagnostics, scientific imaging, endoscopy, aerospace/defense, and any other imaging application that calls for increased sensitivity, outstanding performance, and a compact size.

This three-chip HD CMOS camera features high sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, up to 1,000 TV lines resolution, a binning mode for a 4x increase in sensitivity, a C-mount lens mount, image flip and mirror, and more. It can switch between 1080p and 1080i resolution and is interchangeable with Toshiba’s IK-HD3D controller.

A wide range of adjustments on the camera can be made to achieve precise color control, high resolution, increased sensitivity, and advanced noise reduction. The IK-HD3H HD CMOS camera also features an RS232 remote control function. Coupled with a C-mount lens, this function makes the camera versatile enough to take on a wide range of diverse imaging applications.

In summation, Toshiba’s IK-HD3H is a two piece, 2.1 MP HD CMOS camera that can be easily integrated into a new or existing application requiring 1080p, 59.94 Hz output, and superior color imaging. For additional information, download the datasheet. You can also contact Toshiba directly.
