Raman Microscope: IDRaman micro
The IDRaman micro is a Raman microscope designed specifically for high resolution and high sensitivity Raman spectroscopy. The system combines a high-sensitivity Raman spectrometer system with a high quality imaging system (OneFocus) to achieve high quality optical images and quality Raman measurements.
This microscope comes equipped with either a 532 nm laser or a 785 nm laser. These lasers cover 200-3200 cm-1 with 8 cm-1 resolution, though the 785 nm version of the laser is also available in a high-resolution configuration that covers 200-2000 cm-1 with 4 cm-1 resolution.
One of the more notable features of the IDRaman micro is the OneFocus imaging system. OneFocus produces the highest quality Raman data to be acquired as it makes the Raman sample the most important part of the light path. (illustration below)
As its trade name implies, this microscope is quite small. At 14 x 4 x 11 in., (36 x 10 x 28 cm) it takes up a fraction of the space that a traditional optical microscope would. The system also includes the ability to measure cuvettes and to make measurements from the bottom or sides of a vial.
