Three PXI/CompactPCI boards offer high-speed image acquisition from analog and digital cameras
National Instruments CorporationompactPCI boards offer high-speed image acquisition from analog and digital cameras. Engineers and scientists can incorporate the PXI/CompactPCI boards into small, rugged modular computers and automated test systems. The low-cost PXI-1407 board acquires images from RS-170 and CCIR monochrome cameras and speeds image processing with region-of-interest acquisition. With this feature engineers and scientists can acquire a portion of an image, reducing the number of pixels processed by the PXI or CompactPCI controller. The board also features onboard pixel decimation and lookup table processing. Because of these features and its low cost, the board is suitable for a number of machine vision applications, such as silicon wafer inspection, electronic component testing, and automotive parts inspection.
