Prototyping Technology for Functional Testing of Electronic Systems

Development of defense systems is a complex process, running on tight deadlines, tight budgets, and tight specifications. In addition to the expectations placed on any system, these are products on which lives depend, so every component has to work, and they all have to work together often under the harshest of conditions. That means rigorous testing, preferably under the same sort of conditions systems and their component parts will face in the field. This article explores prototyping technology for functionally testing electronic systems used in defense related applications.
