PPLN Wafer Grating Periods

Deltronic Crystal Ind. and Gemfire Corp. announce the low grating periods of PPLN wafers. PPLNs can be provided with grating periods as low as 6 µm with 4.5 µm. By using a multi-step lithographic and electric field poling process, Gemfire Corp. affects a permanent change in the nonlinear properties of lithium niobate.

PPLNs are offered optically polished and AR coated to customer specification. Specially designed gratings, and custom-patterned poling are available for customer's specific second harmonic generation (SHG), differency frequency generation (DFG), sum frequency mixing (SFM), or optical parametric oscillation (OPO) applications.
