Portable PCI Chassis

National Instruments Corporation0 is a self-contained instrument platform with an integrated 6.4 in. LCD display, pointing device, and CD-ROM drive adjacent to eight PXI/CompactPCI slots. Instrument manufacturers, system integrators and end-users can build fully-integrated, customized instrumentation systems for data acquisition and test and measurement applications.

The product includes a carrying handle, AC or DC power supply, front-accessible I/O enable engineers to plug multiple instrument modules into the chassis for portable use. It is available with a 300 W universal AC power supply or a combination 150 W supply that accepts either AC or 10-32 VDC.

A temperature sensor controls the speed of the fans that maintain proper internal temperature for National Instruments Corporation0 chassis. For high-performance instrumentation applications, the backplane implements all timing and triggering extensions defined in the PXI specification. Engineers can create custom stand-alone instruments, or integrate National Instruments Corporation0 into existing systems using a bus interface board for serial, GPIB, or VXI.
