phoenix|x-ray Opens New Service Center In St. Petersburg, Florida
St. Petersburg, FL phoenix|x-ray Systems + Services Inc. has opened a Service Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, to further boost its presence in the U.S. market.
The Service Center is equipped with the latest in phoenix|x-ray 2D and 3D x-ray inspection technology; and expert sales, service and applications engineers are standing by to provide services ranging from system demonstrations to 2D and 3D application development. "Our new Service Center will offer the complete range of excellent consultation, and application services," stresses Dr. Stefan Becker, director of international sales. With the new Center, phoenix|x-ray offers its U.S. customers one-stop services ranging from the development of customized x-ray inspection systems and high-performance software to proficient customer services.
The new phoenix|x-ray Service Center boasts three high-resolution phoenix|x-ray x-ray systems (nanome|x, v|tome|x and nanotom) covering the whole range of x-ray technology from high-resolution 2D inspection with 13,300X magnification to submicron computed tomography for use in the most diverse fields such as the electronics, semiconductor, and automotive industries, aero- and astronautical engineering as well as many other industries.
The nanome|x is unique in its versatility and offers an exceptionally wide performance range enabling both high-resolution 2D analysis and 3D computed tomography. The nanome|x comes with an 180kV nanofocus x-ray tube and a 2 or 4 megapixel detector enabling magnifications in the range of 200 - 300 nm (0.2 – 0.3 µm). The nanome|x is especially suited for the inspection of high-quality surface mounted and bonded devices in the semiconductor and assembly industries.
The v|tome|x is a high-resolution microfocus computed tomography system featuring CNC-control, digital detector, special CT x-ray tube and high-performance reconstruction software while combining both 3D and 2D x-ray analysis. For even more versatility, the v|tome|x can be equipped with two tubes of different power levels.
As opposed to both the nanome|x and v|tome|x, the nanotom is a 3D CT System designed to meet the inspection requirements in materials science, micromechanics, electronics, geology, and biology. This very compact x-ray inspection system features a high-power 160kV nanofocus x-ray tube, and is the first x-ray system of its kind. The nanotom enables the analysis of samples up to 120mm in diameter and 1 kg/2.2 lb in weight with voxel resolutions smaller than 0.5µm (<500nm).
The Service Center has been outfitted with state-of-the-art technology in an effort to "minimize response times and further improve customer service as well as give U.S. customers the opportunity to experience phoenix|x-ray technology first-hand," says Dr. Becker. The company even increased their staff to make sure U.S. customers benefit from a high-quality service experience.
