Optical Surfaces Introduces Dielectric Coated Off-axis Mirrors

Optical Surfaces Introduces Dielectric Coated Off-axis Mirrors Optical Surfaces Ltd. produces durable coated mirrors up to 600 mm in diameter for use with high-power femtosecond lasers in applications that include plasma physics, laser manufacturing, and telecommunications.

Using proprietary manufacturing techniques and the latest dielectric coating technology Optical Surfaces Ltd. is able to produce off-axis paraboloids, which optimize the performance of rapid-pulsed lasers, from materials including glass, ceramic, and silica. The mirrors provide minimum pulse distortion and the maximum usable bandwidth. When used with high-power femtosecond lasers operating at 750 to 850 nm, typically Optical Surfaces produces mirrors that accommodate power densities up to 100 mJ/cm2 for continuous 50-fs pulses.
