Irvine, CA - Newport Corporation introduced the ODL-OPT Optical Delay Line kit. Newport's new Optical Delay Line Kit provides researches and scientists with all the necessary optics , optomechanical, and motion control components necessary to create a high quality free-space optical delay line assembly for applications such as ultrafast delay lines, optical coherence tomography, and ultrafast spectroscopy.

"Newport's new ODL-OPT kit provides complete and flexible solution for our customers that want an easy-to-use delay line solution as a perfect complement to Spectra-Physics lasers such as the Spitfire-Pro," said James Fisher, Director of Marketing for Vibration and Motion Control at Newport. "It combines industry-leading Newport precision components pre-selected to assure compatibility and completeness under a single part number. The various kit options allow varying degrees of performance, sensitivity and delay distances and is seamlessly integrated with Newport's line of easy-to-use, cost effective motion controllers."

The ODL-OPT options allow users to choose the most popular options for motorized positioning, optics, mechanics, beam delivery and steering in one combined kit. Delay options range from 333 ps up to 4000 ps and position sensitivities from 0.07 fs to 8.33 fs. Optical access heights range from 2.9 in to 5.5 in depending upon the motion stage selected. Newport has also created an "Optical Delay Line Selection Guide" to assist users with the selection and use of this new kit. This document can be found on the ODL-OPT product page at www.newport.com.

Fisher added, "These new optical delay line kits are another example of our commitment to provide customers with a complete ultrafast solution. From the laser, to an optical table, to the optical and optomechanical components, to motion control devices, and now to the delay line kit, our customers can order everything they need to build a complete state-of-the-art ultrafast laboratory, all from a single source."
