Carrollton, TX - Providing design engineers with an extended line of key components for a variety of applications, TT electronics OPTEK Technology has expanded its family of optocouplers. OPTEK's expanded optocoupler product line includes both analog and digital output devices that provide isolation for high voltage power systems. The UL- and VDE-certified optocouplers can be specified for use in a variety of applications including telecommunications, Internet devices, computer systems, home appliances, industrial, medical, security and consumer electronics.

"Available in miniature packages, our optocouplers provide total electrical isolation for a wide range of applications," said Alan Bennett, vice president of sales and marketing for OPTEK Technology. "We are excited about the opportunity to provide design engineers with a broad selection of quality analog and digital output optocouplers that can be specified to operate in a number of environments."

OPTEK's optocouplers are designed for applications that require either analog or digital output (Phototransistor/Photodarlington or Photologic) in a dual-in-line package, with either a single or dual LED transmitter. Typical isolation voltage is 2500, 3750, and 5,000 Volts RMS, making the devices ideal for most power system isolation requirements.

Available Optocoupler Series include:

  • OP1A400 Series - analog output devices in economical 4-pin surface mount DIP (dual in-line package) or SSOP packages;
  • OPIA500/600 Series - analog output devices in economical 5-pin or 6-pin DIP or SMD packages;
  • OPIA/D800 Series - high speed analog or digital Photologic output devices in 8-pin DIP or SMD packages.
