OPOTEK Offers New OPO Tunable Laser System
Carlsbad, CA – OPOTEK, Inc., manufacturer of compact, OPO tunable laser systems, announces the new Opolette™ HR series. These highly-stable, integrated tunable laser systems incorporate a diode-pumped, true solid state (DPSS) laser as the pump source. The systems can operate at high repetition pulse rates of up to 100 Hz. The optical parametric oscillator converts the laser beam output to a wide range of wavelengths from the UV to the IR. The laser head features the smallest footprint available in OPO tunable laser systems (only 9 in. x 12 in.).
The Opolette components (including the pump laser, the OPO, and the optional UV modules) are mounted on a single, hermetically-sealed optical bench. This rugged, all-in-one design allows the system to be moved without loss of alignment. All system functions, from laser operation to wavelength tuning and scanning, are computer-controlled via USB connection. A software development kit is available for customer integration. The system design offers reliable, long lifetime, maintenance-free operation (no lamp or water replacement). Optional accessories include real-time wavelength measurement, fiber delivery, and automated attenuation.
