SUNNYVALE, CA, MARCH 11, 2003 – OEpic, Inc. today announced that the company will offer its advanced optoelectronic GaAs and InP (III-V compound semiconductor) wafer processing services to optical and electronics companies for product development and low to medium volume production. OEpic designs, manufactures and sells optoelectronic devices and integrated circuit (OEIC) soltions for next generation high-speed optical communication systems, utilizing its state-of-art semiconductor facility with capability from epitaxial wafers to OEIC chip products.

OEpic offers both complete wafer processing as well as single process steps. OEpic customers can elect to have OEpic produce epitaxial material using the company's high quality MBE and MOCVD lines or carry out individual unit process steps such as optical and electron beam lithography, thin film coating and dry-etching. The customer can also choose a complete process line offering from material growth to device fabrication and testing using the company's multi-shift operation. These services are designed to support product development programs for optoelectronic companies as well as support research activities at universities and non-profit institutions.
