Irvine, CA -- Newport Corporation today announced that the new Newport Oriel Light Resource is now available. The catalog has 336 pages of reference material, tutorials and ordering information for the wide array of light source products now a part of Newport Corporation after its acquisition of Spectra-Physics earlier this year.

"Anyone who experiments or works with incoherent light sources should absolutely have a copy of this reference," stated Dennis Werth, Oriel Product Line leader. "Whether you are looking for a broadband UV-NIR illuminator, a tunable source, or a solar simulator, you will find the easy to use material helpful in specifying and purchasing the product you need for your application."

In addition to Oriel light sources the catalog offers several new products including the Apex line of economically priced monochromator and fiber illuminators, blackbodies, 1600 W solar simulators and a section devoted to new tools for spectroscopy.

A copy can be requested on the Company's website at www.newport.com/orielcatalog.

"This is the most comprehensive light sources reference available for researchers", Werth concluded.
