New Cermax Xenon Technology Offers Mercury Alternative

Indianapolis, IN - PerkinElmer Optoelectronics announced that a new front projector design, which features the next-generation in Cermax® Xenon technology, a high performance light engine for video projection in home theater applications, will be on display at CEDIA Expo 2005.

Using PerkinElmer's Cermax Xenon light engine design, customers such as Sony are now able to meet high levels of brightness, color fidelity, image quality and lamp lifetime requirements, all needed to exceed consumer expectations in the home theater market. PerkinElmer's new Cermax Xenon technology delivers improved high lumen output, superior lamp life, greater lamp-to-lamp predictability, better image clarity, a competitive market-based price point, reduced size, and super-quiet operation, offering customers a superior alternative to mercury-based products.
