So Many Solutions, Standard / Custom
While open loop designs are more economical for applications where the absolute position does not matter, high-precision motion applications will benefit from the cost efficient encoders employed in the closed-loop stages, providing resolution from microns down to 1nm. Vacuum compatible stages, UHV and non-magnetic options are also available. Additionally, PI can quickly modify any standard stage, or provide a fully customized OEM part to meet the exact application requirements.

Controllers and Software
PI’s digital motion controllers and drivers come with ample software support, a graphical user interface programming examples and LabView drivers. An easy to use command and driver set common for all PI controllers make implementation a simple plug-and-play exercise, keeping programming costs and time low as well.
