MRV Forms Optical Crossing, Photonic Switch Startup

Luminenttching seems to be on everyone's lips these days, and <%=company%> (Chatsworth, CA) is moving into the space with the formation of Optical Crossing Inc., a developer of photonic switch components.

Optical Crossing plans to develop a very low-loss, photonic switch that minimizes optical signal degradation. Designed for the all-optical network environment, the photonic devices will operate at network speed of up to 40Gb/s and are expected to reach the marketplace next year.
