Modulight Expands DBR MOPA Portfolio with Highly Stable Fiber-Coupled System
Modulight, a leading provider of advanced laser solutions, is proud to announce additions to its single-frequency DBR MOPA laser product family, based on the robust and tailorable ML6600 platform. Building on the earlier introduction of a tapered amplifier portfolio, Modulight now offers a highly stable, fiber-coupled DBR MOPA system designed for demanding applications requiring exceptional robustness and ease of integration.
The new system combines a DBR seed laser with a semiconductor tapered amplifier in a very compact and stable integrated and sealed module. This architecture dramatically improves system stability and reduces maintenance requirements, making it ideal for environments sensitive to alignment and environmental fluctuations, such as air pressure changes.
The new DBR MOPA system delivers outstanding performance across criticial application wavelengths used in quantum technology, high-precision timing, sensing, and spectroscopy. It operates within the 750 nm to 1100 nm range and provides more than 1 W of free-space output power, or 0.5 W when fiber-coupled. To simplify laser stabilization, the system includes a dedicated tap fiber output and the is operated via a compact laser controller for ease of use.
This addition complements Modulight’s earlier tapered amplifier offerings, which cover 630 nm to ~1700 nm and support a wide range of applications from quantum technologies to precision spectroscopy. Together, these solutions provide customers with unmatched flexibility – whether they need discrete components, packaged amplifiers, or complete solutions.
