Zero order waveplates provide increased bandwidth

Edmund Optics (EO), the premier provider of optical components, introduces new Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) and Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) Waveplates. These versatile waveplates are designed for a wide variety of Infrared (IR) applications in the 3 - 9µm wavelength range.

Lower sensitivity to temperature change
When compared with multiple order waveplates, zero order Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) and Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) Waveplates provide increased bandwidth and lower sensitivity to temperature change. Ideally suited for a wide variety of Infrared (IR) applications, the MWIR and LWIR waveplates are available with ¼? or ½? retardance over a range of wavelengths from 3 - 9µm. MWIR and LWIR Waveplates offer very efficient retardation over a broad spectral range.

Waveplates have anti-reflection coating
Each MWIR and LWIR waveplate is anti-reflection (AR) coated and has been mounted for ease of alignment and simplified system integration.

Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) and Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) Waveplates are in stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround and excellent value.
